SMS Opt-In Example — Clockwise

This page documents exactly how employees consent to receive SMS notifications from Clockwise, for verification purposes.

1. How an employee is added

An employer ("Customer") adds an employee's name and mobile phone number to their Clockwise account and enables shift-alert notifications for that employee in the Clockwise admin panel.

2. The employee receives an SMS invitation

Clockwise automatically sends the employee the following text message from +1 (708) 412-5302:

Received from Clockwise
Clockwise: Riverside Construction added you for shift alerts (OT warnings, missed punch reminders). Msg freq varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply YES to confirm, STOP to opt out. Terms: souplogic.com/terms.html

3. The employee actively confirms by replying YES

No further messages are sent unless the employee replies YES from their own phone number:

Sent by employee
YES
Received from Clockwise
Clockwise: You're confirmed to receive shift alerts. Msg freq varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Consent is recorded with a timestamp tied to the specific phone number that replied YES. This is the only opt-in path used by Clockwise — there is no website sign-up form, paper form, or QR code opt-in.

4. Ongoing messages the employee may receive

  1. Overtime threshold alerts
  2. Missed clock-in/out reminders
  3. Shift status confirmations

5. Opting out

The employee may reply STOP at any time to immediately stop all messages. This is processed automatically.
